Part Time Administrative Assistant Part Time Administrative Assistant: Houston CW station is looking for a detailed oriented Administrative Assistant. Responsible for maintaining the library for the Cash and Paid Programming, responds to viewers calls, verifies barter information from distributors and provides administrative support. . Must be a fast learner, have the ability to multi-task and be able to work independently. 2-3 years related experience required. An associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Part-Time Engineering Operations Tech: Applicant must have master control and/or videotape experience. Prefer applicant to have an RTF or related degree, Louth automation knowledge, and excellent computer skills. The EOT will work in master control running a Saturn switcher with Louth automation for two channels and in videotape taking feeds using a Compusat system and from Pathfire. Other job responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: monitoring the on-air quality, checking and maintaining program and transmitter logs, prepping and profiling programs, commercials, public service announcements, editing, shading cameras and pulling in live shots. Candidate is someone who's aggressive and hard working with the ability to turn multiple stories during a shift. Applicants must have at least two years experience as a reporter at a commercial television station. A college degree is required preferably with a major in journalism. This position requires varying shifts and days per week and a valid driver's license. Newscast Producer KIAH 39 News is seeking a 9pm Newscast Producer. Primary duties include writing and crafting a fast-paced newscast. This person must be a strong writer and storyteller. The producer must know how to showcase stories, creatively use graphics and maximize production techniques. The job requires someone who's willing to take chances and produce a non-traditional newscast. The candidate must be able to work well with anchors, reporters, assignment editors and production staff. This applicant is required to have three to five years experience preferably in major to medium sized markets. They will also be expected to maintain communications with crews in the field and provide them with assistance when necessary. Other duties include beat checks, scanner monitoring, and providing information to producers and editors on story status. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
