THE SCHOOL OF ROCK ALL-STARS, a touring group comprised of the best students enrolled in the 58 School of Rock locations across the U.S. paid tribute July 15th at the House Of Blues in downtown Houston celebrating the 25th Anniversary of LIVE AID. The concert song line-up was identical to the original LIVE AID, with songs from the POLICE (Message in a Bottle), Paul McCartney (Let It Be), Queen (We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions), to Elton John (Rocket Man).
The All-Stars were greeted by hundreds of kids chanting and holding signs with captions like "WE WANT A SCHOOL OF ROCK HOUSTON," and "WE LOVE SCHOOL OF ROCK." There are 7 girls and 17 boys who comprise the School Of Rock All-Stars including four Texans.
