Marching bands, letter jackets, dancing, corsages, and giant mumsÂ…Homecoming was the theme for the Houston Young People for the Arts annual fundraiser. And of course the Online Dish was there "serving up" all of the details.

And what a Homecoming Gala it was. The party got started at Advantage BMW Midtown, with a marching band leading in the Homecoming court on a brand new sparkly white beamer.

Inside guests enjoyed some complimentary bevs, appetizers, and my favorite, cotton candy!

And what's homecoming without a picture with your date? They even had a photo booth to capture the memorable night.

The dance floor was packed as guests got down to DJ James Reed's mixes.

And after the last song was played, guests hopped on a bus and headed to the after party at Fox Hollow for a night cap and late night bites.

Overall, it was a night worth "cheering" about.

If you would like to learn more about getting involved with HYPA go to houstonarts.org. All it costs is $20/a year to join and enjoy events as hot as this.
