PETA loves attention. And they definitely got it in Tulsa.
Two PETA demonstrators stripped down to their skivvies and spent the chilly afternoon getting hot under the sheets in broad daylight in front of passerbys.
The demonstrators, Lea Tyelene and Ryan Husk, a real-life couple from Los Angeles, put an air mattress on one of the busiest corners in downtown and got down in the name of animals.
The couple is "demonstrating" across the country.
"It's just a fun and upbeat way to draw attention to a serious issue," said Tracy Patton, a spokeswoman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. "The best way to express your love this Valentine's Day is to opt for a vegan diet."
Patton goes on to tell an ABC station in Tulsa "Nobody wants a dud in the bedroom, and 1 in 4 men over the age of 60 have admitted to suffering from impotence. Saturated fat and cholesterol found in meat not only clogs arteries to the heart but to other vital organs."
Do you think Vegans make better lovers?
