KIAH-TV/CW39 NEWSFIX FREE GAS OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
1. HOW TO ENTER:
Watch NewsFix at 9:00 PM nightly on KIAH-TV/CW39, scan the QR code displayed on the screen with your smart phone and enter the required information to be eligible. Alternative entry: Enter at www.39online.com between 9:00 PM Tuesday, June 14, 2011 and 10:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2011 (CT) ("Contest Period") and provide required information. Only one entry per person per day will be allowed. Viewers cannot enter both online and via their smart phone on the same day. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries using multiple/different identities or registrations will void such entries and that entrant may be disqualified. No electronic or mechanically reproduced entries and the use of automated or third-party software of website to enter are prohibited. All received entrants become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Odds of winning prize depend on the number of eligible entries received each day of the sweepstakes. Sponsor's clock will be the official time piece of the giveaway. Sponsor not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries. Contest will be conducted 14 days total.
2. DRAWING:
A winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries (mobile and on line) received during the contest period. The first winner may be announced on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 or anytime on KIAH-TV/CW39. The final winner may be announced on KIAH-TV/CW39 Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Sponsor will attempt to notify potential winner by email, or phone number provided on entry form. Potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing from among all remaining entries if (1) winner cannot be contacted/does not respond within 48 hours of SponsorÂ’s first notification attempt; (2) winner does not fulfill the eligibility requirements; and/or (3) winner does not adhere to the Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Sponsor's decisions are final. Prizes must be picked up at the KIAH-TV/CW39 offices (during normal business hours), at SponsorÂ’s discretion or prize will be mailed upon verification of winner. KIAH-TV/CW39 will not be responsible for lost prize due to mail service.
THE PRIZE:
Winner will receive (1) $100 gift card to be used as directed. A total of (27) $100 gift cards will be awarded during the contest period. The winner is responsible for applicable taxes on the prize. Sponsor will not award alternate prize nor does prize have cash out value. Prize winners will be required to sign a release of liability upon receiving the prize.
4. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS.
a. This contest is void where prohibited. Employees (and their immediate families) of KIAH-TV/CW39Tribune Broadcasting Company and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agencies are not eligible to win. b. To enter, you must be a legal resident of Houston, TX Metro/DMA area (as defined by AC Nielson Co.) and a legal U.S. resident, 18 years or older as of the beginning of the contest period. c. Winner who has won any prize from KIAH-TV/CW39 within the last 30 days before the contest period begins is ineligible and will be disqualified.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY.
a. Use of winner's name: By entering, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation, to KIAH-TV/CW39 and its agents and licensees, to use the winner's name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material for broadcast and promotional purposes in connection with the contest. b. Release Station and Sponsor of Liability: By entering, contestants agree to release KIAH-TV/CW39 from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the contest or their receipt or use of the prize. c. No Prize Substitutions: No substitute prizes are available; however, Sponsor may, at its discretion, substitute prize of equal or greater value. One entry per person, per household, per day. One winner per household. Multiple submissions will void all entries submitted by that entrant.
6. INTERNET:
Sponsor not responsible for network or computer malfunction or error or for computer virus or for damage caused to participant's computer by accessing contest web site. If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the contest, KIAH-TV/CW39 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the contest or any portion of the contest. In the event Sponsor terminates the contest prior to the end date, Sponsor will post notice of its action on the contest web site and will pick a winner in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the termination. ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE CONTEST.
