An empty 18-wheeler tank truck is traveling the nation encouraging people to have an affair on their husband or wife.

The truck made a stop in Houston's Memorial Park Sunday. Its trailer is emblazed with a message of infidelity.

"I think this world is getting really, really crazy. It's really sad honestly," said Coco Godinez, who was in the park exercising and was surprised to hear about the truck.

The back of the tanker says "Honk if you've had an affair." The side of the tanker says "Life is short, have an affair." It encourages people to visit a web site that helps people cheat.

It's an empty tank truck, and it's traveling from New York to California and back.

One man in Memorial Park told 39 News, "I think it's a bad thing. It's practically like promoting murder or rape."

The promoter is Ashley Madison.com.

A documentary film crew is traveling with the empty tank truck. We wondered if the reaction is different regionally.

"Well definitely in front of the Mormon Temple, we got a lot of reactions," said documentarian Jay Gira.

Gira says the sponsors of this truck tried to buy billboards with this message and were denied. Deadline constraints kept us from confirming this claim with Houston's large billboard companies.

We wondered about the environmental impact, and impact on traffic congestion. How wise is it to send an empty tanker all over the country? It's an 18-wheeler with a big carbon footprint. It delivers nothing but a message.

The driver says the truck only gets about 5 miles to the gallon.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, the big rig with the big message left Memorial Park bound for New Orleans.
