Wanted in Attempted Abduction

Wanted in Attempted Abduction (November 24, 2009)

HOUSTON - Houston police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted in an attempted abduction last month.

A 10-year-old boy told police he was walking in the 22400 block of Trail Tree in Kingwood on October 15, when he was approached by the man depicted in the sketch, who asked him for directions. Police say when the boy became suspicious and backed away, the suspect told him he was a police officer. The boy asked him for a badge, but was told it was at home. Police say the boy gave the suspect fake directions and the suspect took off on his bike. The child ran to a neighbor's house when the suspect made a u-turn and headed back toward the boy.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s with a red face, possibly caused by bad acne. He was wearing a maroon T-shirt with a Texas A&M logo.

Anyone with information on this case or on the identity of the wanted suspect is urged to contact the HPD Major Offenders Division at 713-308-3100.
