Business is booming at Buffalo Speedway near Southwest Freeway in Houston.
The new H-E-B Buffalo Market opened it's doors to shoppers Wednesday, and other businesses in the surrounding area are hoping to piggyback off their pending success.
"We already talked to neighbors (and) we think they're going to drive a lot of traffic." said Smashburger General Manager Ben Rodriguez.
Smashburger on Buffalo Speedway opened it's doors 1 week ago, if they drive big business in their new location the company is looking at even more expansion in Houston.
Right behind H-E-B Buffalo Market is the first Houston location of a chain pizza joint, Papa Romano's Pizza.
Manager Hoby Aveidi sent an employee outside to hold up a sign as traffic whizzed by.
"We're trying to take advantage of all the traffic." said Aveidi. "Of course we're at the back of the store... but I guess just having the traffic come through will be good enough right now."
H-E-B Buffalo Market is a 68-thousand square foot Grocery Store that will offer gourmet to-go options, a cheese shop, and an in-house chef.
