In the three years David Beckham has been with the Los Angeles Galaxy, he has missed out on the team's annual visit to Houston twice. The first time for a bum knee and the second time for earning too many yellow cards on the field. But this year, he is both healthy and eligible to play.

"Happy to be here of course. Big game for us tomorrow, big game for both teams obviously," said Beckham.

The Galaxy and Dynamo are already in the playoffs, but they are also neck in neck for the top spot in the western division.

Beckham is preparing for Sunday's game by first trying to defeat a bit of jet lag.

"I have traveled back from Europe a couple of days ago," he said. So trying to get sleep in and trying to relax and massages."

On Wednesday, the soccer star and tabloid magnet flew back from his native England to his adopted home in L.A. and touched off a few rumors, which is nothing new since his move stateside.

"That doesn't change, there's always going to be things out there that are said about you. I had one; actually, that I heard when I landed. I had 14 bags apparently traveling back to L.A. yesterday which I actually had two bags."

After a quick stop home to visit with his wife Victoria (aka. Posh Spice) and their three sons, Beckham jumped on another flight to the Bayou City with his teammates.

"Obviously it's kind of a quick turn around because we play early tomorrow. So, its - we won't see much of Houston, but maybe I'll come back at some point."

Some of us hope so.
