HOUSTON - Hours before the start of the soccer match between the Houston Dynamo and the Los Angeles Galaxy at Robertson Stadium, eager fans were already lining up to get some last minute tickets.

"The line just started but I've been here since eight AM just waiting around," said Michael Garza-Allen, a Dynamo fan who was first in line. "I'm hoping to get tickets and I'm really excited."

They knew their chances would be slim, because for the first time in the team's history with H-town it's a sold out game!

So, why the big surge of fans willing to pay at least $40 per ticket? Well the home team has been pretty good and of course because soccer icon, David Beckham, is making his first athletic appearance in Houston.

"People criticize him and people criticize his wife, but I think he's done good thing for soccer," for Michael Harris, a big Beckham fan.

"We're expecting a sell out game so I'm hoping we can find all the tickets for the people out there," said Amy Malkan, a representative of Dynamo Ticket Operations.

Lucky for the few dozen or so fans first in line Dynamo officials were able to scrape some tickets for them from somewhere, but they also had to turn many away.

For the nearly 30 thousand spectators who did get in, there wasn't a lot of highlights to the scoreless game except to experience Beckham's debut in Houston and watch him get involved in a heated altercation.
