HOUSTON—
Layla Grace is being called an incredible baby with a huge heart. She was diagnosed with cancer a few months back. At only twenty-two months old and has already undergone five rounds of chemo, seven surgeries and multiple blood transfusions. Layla still needs more therapy to raise her survival rate. Her parents, Shana and Ryan Marsh, have been helping fight her battle every step of the way. Baby Layla has spent most of her time at the hospital. Through all of the chemo, surgeries and blood transfusions, Layla is still in great spirits.
"Through every little treatment she bounces back really quick she is happy and talkative her energy comes right back," said her father Ryan Marsh.
Next year, she will be needing a series of injections to boost her survival rate. The problem, each one costs 18,000 dollars and her insurance wont cover it. Friends and family put together a fall festival hoping to raise some money. So far, donations have been pouring in.
As baby Layla moves on to the next part of her treatment, her parents hope she will become another success story.
