Students and instructors in the cosmetology program at Remington College are giving free haircuts to kids going back to school.

The program, called "Cuts for Kids," is designed to help parents save money and help kids look and feel their best.

"Parents are buying school clothes uniforms and school supplies so this is one thing less they have to worry about," said Angela Jacobs, Director at Remington College Cosmetology.

It also gives Remington students an opportunity to work on real life clients.

"It gives our students a chance to work on clients, as well as a build the self-esteem of the students that are coming in. The children it makes them feel better so they can start the school year with a new look," said Jacobs.

The free haircuts will be offered through August 28.
