With the 4th of July only a couple days away, preparations for Freedom over Texas are coming down to crunch time.
The main stage is up, the tables and tents are starting to line the streets, and of course the fireworks are being packed in to place.
"We shoot multiple sites along the bayou so that whether you're at one end or the other and of the festivities there will be something for you to see firework wise," said Paula Craig, a pyro technician.
Workers for the event have been setting up tents all week and it hasn't been easy in the blistering heat.
"It takes a lot out of you, you got to drink a lot of fluids and working in 100+ degree weather it's pretty rough but it's something we have to do," said Vicctor Alcala.
But everyone is looking forward to the big firework show.
