"We come to the rodeo especially for Tejano Day," said Marisela Ramirez.

In the past, Tejano Day has been a favorite among protestors. Boycotting the event for not having Tejano singers and outcasting Norteño groups like, Indeciso.

This year, no protestors in sight. Group member of Indeciso, Cruz Resendez belives Tejano day is changing. It's no longer about one genre of music but about the celebration of the Hispanic culture.

"Whether (it's) Norteño from Mexico or Conjunto or Tejano its more of a conglomorate of music together," said Resendez.

It's the music that brings a very diverse audience to the rodeo on Tejano Day.

"All kinds of people I mean you name the race it's here and it's about," said Ramirez.
