On Wednesday, Rosenberg police say three men barged into a home with weapons stealing a safe, computer, and game system. While roaming from room to room the attackers forced the homes occupants on to the floor. Before the attackers left they threatened the homes occupants and fired one shot and broke a window in the home.

The suspects didn't get to far officers arrested Anthony Arranza, Anthony Barcenas, and Lawrence Garcia, all 18 years of age and from Rosenberg. All three suspects have been charged with aggravated robbery.

Then on Thursday, two men and a woman forced their way into a home on the 15500 block of Evergreen Place Drive in Mission Bend.

"They indicated that they had another family member held hostage at some remote location and they did use a name that is not commonly known by people other than direct family members for this individual," said Chief Deputy Craig Brady with the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Department.

Brady said the suspect's story about the hostage turned out to be a lie. Before leaving they tied the family up then ransacked the home looking for money.

"This does not appear to be a random event, it does appear the individuals knew the targets and knew there was a substantial amount of money in the house," he said.

Investigators will not say how much money was stolen, but a sketch artist is working with the victims to help identify the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
