Political pundit, internet entrepreneur and author Arianna Huffington has a new passion, trying to get people back to work. The one time conservative, now active progressive hopes to bring people together from all sides of the political aisle to find solutions to the current unemployment crisis in America.
Huffington has a new book called, "Third World America: How Our Politicians Are Abandoning the Middle Class and Betraying the American Dream."
In the book, Huffington examines what led to the current unemployment numbers and offers suggestions on how people can take matters into their own hands and help turn things around in a positive manner.
"Obviously government has a huge responsibility and I'm not leaving government off the hook, and we may disagree about what government should do, but we all have a huge responsibility to look in the mirror to find the leader in the mirror and step up to plate and do a lot more than we thought we could do."
Huffington spoke in Houston at the Wortham Center Wednesday night.
