Some good news, just in time for Memorial Day. A four-legged soldier is home from Iraq.
Toby, a six month old lab mix, will make Houston his home thanks to a local soldier who helped rescue him.
Tom Saldana was called to active duty last February, his unit befriended a stray pup named Toby. When Saldana found out he was coming home in July, he couldn't bear the thought of leaving Toby behind to an unknown fate.
So he contacted "Operation Baghdad Pups" which helped get Toby to Houston.
It wasn't an easy trip for Toby, he ended up getting sick along the way and had to be quarantined in Washington D.C. for three weeks. But now he's all better and in a good home.
