Construction on parts of Kirby Drive in Houston have been a real hassle for busy commuters.

"You avoid it at all costs." said Robert Taylor who navigates the area often.

For Store Owners the gridlock and debris that comes with the construction is affecting their businesses.

"We hear the cranes we see the traffic going by or rather not going by as quickly as we would like it to every single day." said Dyanna Wilson, owner of 35 mm Make-Up Design.

For Store owners and customers, and busy commuters there is now an updated timeline for completion of the project.

Along Kirby Drive from Richmond to Westheimer construction will be finished by October, that's one month earlier than original estimates.

From Robinhood to Bissonet construction will be cleared up by August 2010.

Construction from Bissonet to 59 will be completed in late 2010.

Any other construction along Kirby Dr. Will be completed within the next 2 years.
