39 News first told you about Layla Grace last Fall. Since that time, her story has touched so many lives. Sadly, 2-year-old Layla Grace lost her battle with cancer Tuesday morning.
Layla died from Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer normally found in small children or infants.
While her family prepares for her funeral, a benefit was held Tuesday night in her honor at the Chuy's Mexican Restaurant off the Northwest Freeway.
"Tonight Chuy's is donating all of their tips and matching up to $3000 and they're donating that to the family," said Jennifer Medina, Layla's babysitter.
Layla's story has not only touched people here in Houston, but around the country. Stars such as Ryan Seacrest and Eva Longoria sent out tweets on Twitter in her honor.
