A regular customer of a Katy gasoline store won Friday's mega millions. The mystery man has not claimed his $144 million prize, but new and old customers are flocking to the store to buy their tickets.

"(He said) thank you very much and his eyes (started to water)," said Salim Turk, employee at the Short Stop.

He sold a Katy man his winning lotto ticket. Turk said he is a loyal customer who at times goes in to buy his ticket and morning coffee. He did so for eight years straight.

News of the mystery winner spread through town. Aside from the usual customers at Short Stop, Turk has been selling tickets to new customers who have never bought before.

Now, there is a new game in town. It's called the Power Ball and people are buying their tickets hoping to be the next winner. They are also hoping lady luck will be on their side.

Patty Page, who is another loyal customer, is hoping to increase her odds by buying more tickets.

"I don't buy that often but I'm hoping to start buying every week and taking a chance," said Page, as she held on to her lotto tickets. "Just like the last winner."
