Sketch of Suspicious Person (Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office / June 12, 2009)

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has issued a Community Crime Watch Alert for residents living in and around the Mission Bend Subdivision.

The alert stems from two similar incidents.

The first one happened on May 21 around 8 a.m. near the 8800 block of Addicks Clodine Road. Deputies say an 11-year-old reported a white passenger car pulled up next to her while she was walking to school. The girl said walked away when a man offered to give her a ride. She described the man as Hispanic in his late 30s.

The second incident happened June 5 not far from the first one. Deputies say an 8-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister were playing near the intersection of Parliament St. And Alabaster Driver when a man drove up in white 4-door passenger car with lightly tinted windows and said "Get in the car." The kids ran home. The car followed them and then drove off. The siblings said the man was an older white male with a light to tan complexion, balding on top with black hair only on the sides.

If you have any information on either of these incidents, call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
