The little girl was visiting her aunt's house on Sweet Gum near Live Oaks when she went into the backyard to feed the dog and was attacked. She suffered injuries to her face and head and was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment. Her aunt suffered minor injuries when she tried to stop the attack. She was taken to Kingwood Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Montgomery County Animal Control took the dog into custody. Police found no prior history of problems with the dog. An investigation is currently underway.
