"You never know what to expect until you get to the front door," said Sgt. J. Banda, as he knocked on several violator's door.

Officers expect to find the violators at home. Unfortunately, Sgt. Banda and his partner didn't have any luck finding violators at home.

"I'm giving them a notice saying that we made an attempt to service and this (notice) will give them the information they need to call (the court) so they can clear up their warrants," said Sgt. Banda.

The notice gives violators one more chance to pay what they owe. Stephanie Martinez showed up at the courthouse after officers went looking for her husband in the morning. Her husband didn't know he owed one thousand dollars in unpaid tickets.

"These were tickets from seven years ago in 2003 and were barely finding out about them," said Martinez.

She's looking for a lawyer and taking care of them now before it's too late.

Unlike several others who ran out of chances and went straight to the county jail.
