A new virus is targeting the social networking site Facebook. Scare-ware, as it's called, is just the latest malicious software cyber criminals are using to infect users with a fake virus alert. The virus then prompts users to download an anti-virus program.

"They're really trying to sell you the cure for the infection they put on your computer," said Alex Diaz with Top Tech Experts.

The problem has become so prolific that computer technicians are working around the clock debugging customer's CPU's and laptops.

"Anything that pops up and asks for your credit card information you want to be very, very careful. Don't put your credit card information," said Diaz.

He also suggests computer users keep up-to-date on their Microsoft and anti-virus software system updates.
