The annual Sales Tax Holiday runs Friday, August 21st through Sunday, August 23rd.
In Texas school supplies, backpacks, clothing, and shoes valued under $100 will be exempt from sales tax.
Shoppers will save about $8 on every $100 they spend without paying sales tax on most items.
School supplies are now also exempt from sales tax for this 2009 holiday.
