For many years CyFair Independent School District's Arnold Middle School has boasted an accredited status, but now it has a discredited teacher.
"We believe that he has taken photographs up the skirts of two of his female students in class" said Harris County Asst. District Attorney Eric Devlin.
"One of the girls noticed that he was apparently taking the picture. He had placed the cell phone in an area that would look up her skirt" Devlin said.
Steven Brown is charged with "Improper Photography or Visual Recording." It sound like a minor charge but it is a felony punishable with prison time. Brown faces 180 days to 2 years in prison if convicted. If convicted he'd also have his teacher certificate taken from him.
Brown's cell phone has been confiscated, and his home was raided, as investigators try to figure out if he's done this before.
"It's possible that he could have been doing it for years, or this could have been a one time isolated incident. Once we take a look at the computers, or the phones and everything else we'll have a better idea" said Devlin.
"He hasaccess to a huge number of kids, and because of that we are concerned about any other actions, any other conversations he's breen involved in with any other child" said Devlin.
