It's fantastic, because the ticket Heath got over the weekend from a Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy has been dismissed. It happened after Heath and Sheriff Tommy Gage met for about an hour Wednesday.

"The sheriff agreed the law was on my side," Heath said.

This all started late last Friday night. Heath was hungry and in the mood for breakfast tacos at the drive-thru of a Taco Cabana on Highway 242. The tacos weren't available, so Heath went next door to a Whataburger.

When Heath arrived home a deputy was waiting.

Someone in or near the Taco Cabana claimed Heath left without paying. Heath showed the deputy his Whataburger receipt and a bag - "evidence" that helped clear Heath. However, Heath got a ticket for not showing the deputy his ID.

A spokesperson with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department confirmed the ticket was dismissed, but declined to comment any further.

Heath now has some kind words for the Sheriff.

"He was kind and generous. He defended his deputies, but he also defended the rights of citizens," said Heath.
