The Van's Warped Tour rolled through Houston Friday.

The day long event brings dozens of alternative bands to a number of outdoor stages. This year at Sam Houston Race Park over 10,000 teens and young adults cheered on their favorite bands.

Bad Religion, Big D and the Kids Table, Ivy League, and Shooter Jennings were among the bands taking the stage.

As temperatures outside crept around the 100 degree mark the sweaty crowd gulped water.

"You know you've been going to Warped Tour when kids come up to you and you're like you need sunblock," said lead singer of Big D and the Kids Table.

Country-Rock singer Shooter Jennings, son of Country legend Waylon Jennings, was still cooling off in his tour bus a half-hour after his set.

"I didn't know it'd be a boot camp," Jennings said. "But it's gonna be a lot of fun and we're all hoping to lose a little weight out here."

The Van's Warped Tour is in it's 15th year.

Next stops are Dallas on July 5, then on to Indianapolis July 7.
