The victims age 28 and 13 were leaving the mall when the group confronted them. The older victim was attacked by at least three of the suspects and his recently purchased packages were stolen.

During a search inside the mall two suspects were found and identified by the victims as participants in the assault and robbery. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department arrested Dustin Blake Thomas, 17 of Spring and Isidoro Guimaraes, 17 of Conroe Texas. Both teens are charged with robbery.

The other suspects have not been identified or arrested.

Auhtories told 39News this type of crime picks up during the holidays.

"This time of year, it is incumbent upon all of us no matter where we are - shopping mall, grocery store or just walking across any type of parking lot - to be very vigilant on what's going on around us and be quite aware of our surroundings," said Lt. Dan Norris with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.

Lt. Norris said shoppers should also lock their purchases in the trunk of their vehicle while they are out and about.
