Uggs banned from classrooms at one middle school in Pennsylvania (WPVI/CNN) |
POTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Uggs are getting the boot at one middle school in Pennsylvania.
Starting Monday, students will be banned from wearing the fur-lined boots in class.
They can still wear Uggs, or similar boots, to school, but they have to leave them in their lockers during class.
Administrators say students smuggle cell phones into class in the roomy footwear, and phones are strictly banned.
The ban is not going over well with many students.
The district says it might reconsider the ban if the cell phone problems improve.
