I'm an "under-promise, and over-deliver" kind of guy. I don't set the expectation bar too high setting myself up for failure and people are pleasantly surprised with what I give'em. But do you know someone, or are you, perhaps an exaggerator? It's annoying isn't it?! Jabber jawin' about the huge fish that got away, or maybe they brag how great a golfer they are, the 12 pt. buck they saw from the stand in the morning that they didn't kill 'cause they didn't have a clear shot! Whether it’s their accomplishments, or one upping you, when you're tellin' the truth, they've done it bigger and better.
What's crazy is they believe their own fabrications. It's like a mental defect! I'm told people that do this are really insecure and feel the need to pump themselves up to feel worthy. That's sad. There was a time when I would allow myself to get caught up competing with a BS'er, it becomes a competition of words and it can be exhausting! So, I’ve learned to let people run their pie holes and blow it up! Mostly because it doesn't matter and ultimately, "I don't care"!
Besides it's fun hearing the excuses they come up with when they wind up being all hat and no cattle. BTW, I don't want to start anything, but a quick internet search revealed a lot of links suggesting Texans are big truth stretchers. Well there were a couple, ok I exaggerated that a little. Sorry.
