A shout out to the Houston Texans!!

10 years ago, thanks to Bob McNair, the NFL returned to Houston with a new stadium and a fresh look.  Houston didn't feel complete without an NFL franchise.

Not all fans agreed with McNair & company's approach to building a team. The Texans appeared concerned more with moral character, rather than a franchise destined to win Super Bowls. The media and disgruntled fans continued to voice their opinions on producing a team to get them to the ultimate destination or at least the playoffs.

Every season, anxiously hoping to be playoff contenders, disappointment time and time again. But Texan fans returned every year.

These Texans are special. The team has withstood injuries to their starting quarterback, hall of fame bound receiver, pro bowl players and a hospitalized coach. No doubt the injuries to starters were a setback, but our team responded professionally, without excuses, much less any locker room drama common to other teams.

Patience and doing the right thing has paid off in spectacular fashion. The Texans have built a team that makes the city proud, and is the envy other franchises.

Maybe McNair & company do know a little about what it takes to be successful? Perhaps we all could learn a little something by practicing a little patience and following the rules. It sure makes for a satisfying payoff.

Good luck to you Texans and thank you for making this fall one to remember!

Thanks Dan.
