When the news broke that Heidi Klum and Seal were breaking up, I think it was TMZ that showed a photo of the couple and they were surprised that both of them were still wearing their wedding rings.
Well, at the time, what surprised me was that on Seal's wrist, was one of those old school black faced led digital watches. If you're over 35 you probably remember them, they were just black faced and only displayed the time in red or (if you were really cool) in blue led lights only when you pushed the little button on the side.
How ridiculous, who would take time today to free up your other hand to push a button to see the time? Why not just display it all the time? I guess in earlier times, the time was more personal and we wanted to keep it a secret, maybe. Maybe we should have tried to save time because nowadays it seems like nobody has any time, although we can find the time displayed all over the place.
Anyway, after seeing the picture of Seal and his wrist watch it was time to hit the web and would you believe it, led watches have actually kept up with the times! Yeah, you can still buy the vintage 70's era original, but they've designed a lot of others that look very 2012.
