People in Houston are keeping the beat by bringing attention to heart defects.
Many groups walked in "It's My Heart" 6th Annual Keep the Beat awareness walk for congenital heart defects.
Congenital heart defects are the number one birth defect worldwide and also the number one cause of birth defect related deaths worldwide.
One out of every 100 babies are born each year with some sort of congenital heart defect.
With at least $200,000 collected, and more filitering in, looks like steps are being taken to find a cure.
