In an attempt to pay homage to his favorite American actor, Australian House of Representatives Leader Anthony Albanese borrowed the wise words of Michael Douglas.
Ok, it didn't go down quite like that, but pretty close! Albanese got caught reciting almost word for word a speech Douglas spoke while acting in the movie The American President. The copycat speech is almost unbelievable.
Albanese is blaming his staff of course claiming he had no idea the speech had been a part of a Hollywood blockbuster.
