WASHINGTON (PIX11)—
A suspected terrorist who was reportedly on his way to the US Capitol to initiate a suicide attack has been arrested by the FBI.According to FOX News, the man, described to be in his 30's and of Moroccan descent, was taken down by undercover FBI agents following a lengthy investigation. It wasn't immediately clear how authorities learned about the plot.
The suspect reportedly thought the federal agents were going to assist him in carrying out the attack on the US Capitol.
At the time of his arrest on Friday, the man was in possession of a vest "supposedly packed with explosives," FOX News reported.
