Cricket Broadband Sweepstakes
Official Rules

1. HOW TO ENTER:  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Sweepstakes will be played each week for nine (9) weeks begins Monday, October 27, 2008 and ends Sunday, December 28, 2008.
Each weekly sweepstakes begins on Monday at 12:00a.m. and ends the following Sunday at 11:59p.m. To enter, go to www.39online.com, click on the contest and events link, and complete the official Cricket Broadband Sweepstakes online entry form, submitting your name, age, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.
All entries must be received by 11:59p.m. CDT on Sunday to be qualified for that weeks drawing.  Entrants must use their own name. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the registrant or holder of the e-mail account will be deemed the person who submitted the entry.
Entries become the property of Sponsors, and will not be returned. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, incomplete, late, or misdirected entries, or for errors in mechanical transmission, technical difficulties or inability to transmit Internet entries.

2. SELECTION OF WINNERS: There will be one (1) winner selected for each week of the contest for at total of nine (9) winners. Each winner will be selected by a random drawing from among all eligible entries received that week.
Subject to verification and compliance with these rules. Representatives of KIAH will conduct the drawing. The winner will be notified by telephone on the following Monday. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
If a winner is found to be ineligible or cannot be reached with in 48 hours of the first notification, that winner will be disqualified.
 
3. PRIZES: Each winner will receive one (1) Cricket Broadband USB Modem and one year Broadband service. Some restrictions apply see http://www.mycricket.com/termsandconditions for more information.
Approximate retail value of $589.00 per USB Modem and year of Broadband service ($5,301.00 total retail value). All prizes will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable, and not redeemable for cash, credit or merchandise. Only one prize will be awarded per household.
If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Winners will have 30 days to claim their prize at the KIAH Studio located at 7700 Westpark Dr. Houston, Texas 77063.  Any prizes that are not claimed with in 30 days of the first notification will be forfeited.
Sponsors have no obligation to draw alternate winners if USB Modem is not picked up. Winners must bring a valid government-issued ID and sign an affidavit of eligibility and release to claim prize.  Prizes will not be mailed.

4.CONDITIONS & RESTRICTIONS: Entrants agree that Sponsors have the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Sweepstakes and that their decision is final and binding. Sponsors reserve the right to modify, suspend, extend, or cancel this Sweepstakes if circumstances arise rendering it impossible or impractical for Sponsors to conduct the Sweepstakes as promoted or according to these rules.
Except where prohibited by law, Winners agree to allow use of their names, voices, photographs, likenesses and any information provided on an entry forms, in any medium of communication, including print, Internet, radio and/or television and for any purpose, including advertising, promotional or other purposes, by Sponsors and/or its affiliates, without additional compensation.
Winners, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsors, its respective parent companies and affiliates, and each of its employees, representatives, contractors, sponsors and advertisers, from any and all liability, loss, damage, costs or claims arising from the Winners’ participation in this Sweepstakes, their receipt and use of their prizes, and any Sweepstakes-related or prize-related travel or activity.
Winners assume all applicable tax liability for their prizes.

5. ELIGIBILITY: You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident of the KIAH viewing area. Sweepstakes is not open to employees of Sponsors or their affiliated companies, licensees, advertising or promotional agencies of Sponsors. Immediate family members of those employees are also ineligible.

6.SPONSORS: Sweepstakes is sponsored by KIAH-TV, 7700 Westpark Drive, Houston, Texas 77063, and Cricket Broadband.
INTERNET: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention,
actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsors’ sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof.
In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsors will conduct a random drawing to award prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Entry Site.
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sweepstakes rules shall be governed and enforced pursuant to Texas law, excluding choice of law provisions.
