About Gossip GirlSpotted: the privileged prep-school teens of Manhattan's Upper East side unpacking designer suitcases stuffed with shiny new secrets and hidden agendas. As the second season of The CW's breakout hit GOSSIP GIRL unfolds, nothing is what it seems.
Erstwhile lovebirds Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgely) seem to have called it quits -- but can that relationship ever really die? Is it as resilient as the flame between their parents, Lily van der Woodsen Bass (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle), who have finally revealed shocking secrets and decided to give their passion another go? Or are they moving on with other -- even more scandalous -- partners?
The conniving twosome of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) are also on the outs, giving them each time to pursue their own agendas. Blair is obsessed with getting into the college of her choice, while Chuck is obsessed with far more fleshly concerns. What will happen if these world-class schemers are denies their goals? We sure wouldn't want to be in their way!
Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) are the only couple that seems to be dodging romantic problems -- so far. How long will that last? Will Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) make another play for Nate, not that her fashion dreams have been put on hold and she's back at Constance Billard? Or does Jenny have other things on her mind?
