  1. Addictive Personalities

I have a sibling battling an eating disorder that has become life-threatening. A conversation with them the other night really affected me. I too, know the addictive personality.  One who is prone to become dependent on vices, alcohol, drugs, gambling, porn, shopping, exercise…whatever. With a lack of self-control or will power, certain urges hijack the brain and take center stage and addiction takes over.  Outta whack dopamine levels in the brain, genetics and social factors? There usually isn't one reason, more importantly, the key to controlling your addiction prone self (and this is what I told my family member) is to not fight, but rather accept your personality type and understand the addict mentality to overdose on whatever it is…A temporary fix... Only gets worse.
