11. Closing Comments: Gay Marriage

New York recently made headlines when they made it legal for gay people to get married. Great. My question is, with all the evil and violence in today’s world why are we worried about gay marriage? If promiscuous sex is your concern, marriage for gays is a good because it encourages monogamy. Opposed 'cause the bible says? Separation of church and state man and I’m catholic. Priests/ boys/ scandal…nobody should be acting holier than thou. I have an uncle who is an older gay man who lives privately with his partner of 25 years and like many gay couples have no desire to be flamboyant or to flaunt their lifestyle. Although it would be nice to be able to enjoy the same rights as heterosexual couples do from a legal standpoint. Who should decide who people can marry? Heterosexuals? Why, because god gave us the authority? You want to keep it from the children? Too late for that.
