Simply put, spring training is the best way for baseball fans to get an up-close look at their favorite players, either in Florida's Grapefruit League or in Arizona's Cactus League.

In 2008 in Florida, 17 teams will hold their preseasons in the Sunshine State. They are: the Atlanta Braves (at Disney's Wide World of Sports), the Baltimore Orioles (Fort Lauderdale), the Boston Red Sox (Fort Myers), the Cincinnati Reds (Sarasota), the Cleveland Indians (Winter Haven), the Detroit Tigers (Lakeland), the Florida Marlins (Jupiter), the Houston Astros (Kissimmee), the Los Angeles Dodgers (Vero Beach), the Minnesota Twins (Fort Myers), the New York Mets (Port St. Lucie), the New York Yank...

Spring training typically begins in mid- to late-February, with exhibition games held throughout March.
